Wine Pairings

Follow our guide to determine what wine is best with the meal you are preparing. Here are the following wines:

Glasses and Bottles of Wine
  • Zinfandel - Called the American grape wine because its possibilities were first realized in Sonoma. Zinfandel ages into strong "big" wines.

  • Cabernet Sauvignon - The defining grape of Bordeaux, "Cab" has now been planted all over the globe and results in a medium-to-full-bodied wine with flavors of blackberry and green peppercorn.

  • Merlot - Less astringent than Cabernet, Merlot has a softer mouth-feel that makes it nearly universally popular.

  • Rose - Made from red grapes, Rose is best when made in the dry European style, when it retains the character of red wine.

  • Chardonnay - Still the most popular white grape, Chardonnay can taste like vanilla and butterscotch or green apples and tropical fruit, depending on where it's grown and how it's aged.
